FEM FOR MACHINE TOOL
Optimizing a mechanical processing process means making the most of your machine tool, improving its efficiency and consequently reducing its operating costs, without sacrificing the quality of the processing.
The factors that determine the quality of a mechanical process are manifold, often dependent on the dynamics of the machine tool: kinematics of the mechanisms (bearings, ball screws, sliding blocks, …), clearances and tolerances between the various components, dynamics of the spindles and of rotary axes, etc.
Furthermore, an important role is played by the raw-machine tool interaction, since it makes possible the birth of vibrations (Chatter) which can compromise the stability of the machining (going outside the graph that represents the region of stability) and consequently the quality of the same.
Phi Drive is part of the Comestero Sistemi Group through the FEM and a series of analyzes (static, dynamic, modal, …) is able to offer interesting prospects for the development of a new product or for optimizing the performance of an existing one .
