Security – Voluntary adoption of the NIS 2 Directive
Security update
We are pleased to inform you that Comestero Sistemi S.r.l., although not currently subject to the obligations of the NIS 2 Directive, has voluntarily chosen to embark on a structured path to align with the main European and international cybersecurity standards.
In particular, we are implementing:
• the requirements of Directive (EU) 2022/2555 – NIS 2;
• the CIS Controls versione 8.1 framework for IT infrastructure protection.
Why we are doing this?
We believe that cybersecurity should not be merely a regulatory obligation, but a concrete commitment to our clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Investing in security today means:
• strengthening the resilience of our systems;
• protecting the data we process and the information we share;
• providing a more reliable, transparent service that complies with the most advanced standards.
What we are implementing
| Area | Status |
| Mapping of critical assets and risk | Started |
| Adoption of CIS Controls IG1 (essential safeguards) | In progress |
| Definition of IT security policies and governance | In implementation |
| Incident response and business continuity planning | In drafting phase |
| Staff training on NIS 2 principles and cyber hygiene | Scheduled |
| Continuous monitoring and security audits | Scheduled |
Our objectives
• Achieve a certifiable level of compliance with CIS Controls v8.1, aligned with ISO 27001 and NIST CSF.
• Demonstrate our accountability through structured, documented, and verifiable controls.
• Proactively prepare for potential future regulatory obligations, in order to safeguard the digital value of our processes in advance.
