PHI-WRIST is a piezoelectric device that combines three different products into one:

• • PHI-SS-ME rotary table
  • PHI-SS-TS tilting table
  • GRIPHI micro-grippers

This product represents an ideal solution for applications in the fields of semiconductor manufacturing, microscopy, fiber optic sensor assembly, biotechnology, and industrial automation. These sectors require positioning systems with high resolution and repeatability, often achieving precision at the nanometer scale.

PhiDrive has developed the PHI-W wrist designed specifically for automatic micro-positioning, micro-manipulation and micro-assembly.

The PHI-W can be integrated with PHI-SS electronics or used alongside robots and parallel kinematic machines. While these systems excel at ensuring the complete reconfigurability of assembly lines, they alone are not sufficient to achieve the precision levels guaranteed by the PHI-W wrist. Thanks to this combination, it is possible to create assembly lines for micro-components that combine maximum flexibility with high precision.
